Environmental New Elements Company (ENEC) Executive Vice-Chairman Samer Mouasher has returned to Amman following his participation at the 19th International Rare Earths Conference, a pivotal event in the rare earth industry held in San Antonia, Texas from October 18-20, 2023.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote a strategic partnership in the fields of mining and the exploration of rare minerals in the Dubaidib region east of the coastal city of Aqaba on Wednesday.
Jordanian authorities unveiled plans on Wednesday to look for lithium and several other types of rare minerals in the south of the country, local media reported.
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has signed since the beginning of this year 7 memorandums of understanding (MoU) in an effort expressed recently by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr.Saleh Kharabsheh, “to place Jordan strongly on the regional and even global mining map.”
